Program Purpose

The purpose of this program is to improve reading comprehension, critical thinking, communication skills, and confidence among 8th-grade boys by engaging them in a shared reading experience supported by consistent adult mentorship.

The program uses one common book, structured discussions, writing exercises, and mentor-guided reflection to move students from passive reading to active thinking.
